Phil Butler and Associates Ltd is one of Canterbury’s leading employment law advocacy firms.

Since 1992 we have been providing advice and representation to employees and employers on employment agreements, employment problems and the laws governing them.

"It is very important to us that clients feel supported and confident their interests are being protected and promoted"

We represent people at meetings involving performance management, workplace relationship problems, complaints, restructuring and discipline. We act for people in Mediation, before the Employment Relations Authority and at the Employment Court.

We act for both employees and employers. We specialise in small to medium size businesses. We seek to protect them from expensive litigation and provide them with resources that are easy to apply. We represent employees from both the private and public sectors.

We run free weekly clinics for prospective clients who wish to get some advice on employment matters.
