Business Social Networking for New Zealand Businesses

Hi there, from a Chartered Accountant. Yes I know that people won't be too excited by that - but someone has to do it. I mainly work with clients who use their own GL (QuickBooks, MYOB, Xero, etc) and make sure their package and the official accounts have the same figures. (We use BankLink for clients who don't want to run their own system.)
Of course accounting isn't my passion (some would say the words passion and accounting don't really go together). A decade ago I was introduced to RAN ONE - an international firm which supports accountants to use their experience to help businesses develop. Nothing excites me like the lights going on and someone "getting" it.

I have to confess I'm not a big fan personally of MYOB - but I've used both that and QB for a decade. And the CA program I used got bought by MYOB a few years ago - as did my favoured payroll program. But most important to me is helping clients getting the best results from whatever they're working with. I work with a number of other programs as required - although there are some I won't support (e.g. MS Money). Fortunately I don't have to do general training - just help users get the right info from their system.
I assume you live in AK - I'm near our capital city (actually in Lower Hutt).
