Facebook Fan Pages
Okay, I've jumped in and set up a fanpage for AdminCorp on Facebook. I have to admit sometimes I can get my head around things extremely quickly but this..... NO! I found I had to first work out the correlation between profile and fanpage (still finding it hard to get my head around that one). Now I have to populate it.... mmmmm, why doesn't mine look as good as the others. Track my progress here and become a fan.

you wouldn't believe, I invited people to join my fan page and they've ended up on my profile instead.... I'm gonna have to nut this out!!!!

V-biz (been 4months I think)
twitter chats (100's of HRS str8 @ a time?),
Xanga.com - (UPLOADING MUSIC),
blogspot - (4 ?or? is it FIVE sites to "refresh often"),
YOUTUBE - (Uploading Videos - which take 4EVA 2MAKE?)
& 100's of HELP_OTHERS "forums" (weekly),
Around 60 to 100 (own) webpages 24/7 (Yet still "way" behind),
Always "LOOKING" for that SPECIAL_PA (Dating sites - when NOT somewhere else?),
Organiser_Reminder_Checking? (If I can remember - where ARE they?),
PLUS TRY to occasionally "get some emails done"
Oh? & with the few seconds "left" between PC catnaps?
I seem to NEVER have time (nowadays) for ?
Self Generating (& cash flow making)
Um?
WORK?

It's an "interactive" Audio Remix Player (thingie)
& I will (also_try_to) pop a video, or two, ???

Facebook Pages need a lot of work - not so much on the pages themselves but on the process used to build one! I've found Facebook doesn't have the most intuitive menu system, and I've worked with a few people who have made a profile instead of a page by mistake.
Quick tip: Once you've got 25 fans (can't be done with less), go to www.facebook.com/username then click "set a username for my page". Then you've got a quick, easy, consistent link. Ours is www.facebook.com/hotpj
Just make sure you type it carefully and make sure you're doing it for your page and not your profile. Once it's set, it's permanent! Incidentally, you can do it for your own profile too. I'm at www.facebook.com/marklincolnnz
Oh and link your blog to the page so that when you update your blog, your page updates automatically. Increases your reach without increasing your time.

Whoops, looks like there's something wrong with the html in my reply above! Clicking on the links probably won't work but just put those addresses into your web browser. For the username setup, you need to be logged into Facebook first. Feel free to flick me a message if you need a hand :)

Thanks Mark, I've managed to add you to my favourites on my AdminCorp page and become a fan, which I guess comes from my profile page.. only 4 fans away from getting my own username :)

Great stuff :) Yeah you can become a fan of a page or you can add a page to your own page's fans ... yeah ... I think that's right!
I've suggested your page to 5 or 6 business types in NZ so hopefully you'll have enough fans soon and can secure that user name :)
Incidentally, I have two Facebook accounts (don't tell Facebook!) One for business and one for my old school mates to post embarrassing photos of me! So anyone on VBIZNZ feel free to add me as a friend to increase your New Zealand business network: www.facebook.com/marklincolnnz (the profile should have the same picture as my VBIZNZ profile pic)
