I read her rant and, honestly, the first thing I thought was "who are you anyway?" followed by "why should we care?" to "you're probably being a tad precious" and lastly to not caring how many people are supposedly passing of her work as theirs.

Is she the Stephen King of VAs?

Yes, copywrite infringement is a problem that many people, particularly those whose work is freely available on the net, face but there are probably better ways of dealing with it than having a public whine.

Call me uncharitable.

I guess you are right to a degree, just like I am right to a degree in the aspect of "the point wasn't about who she was or what she does, just that the issue is rampant and people should kindly listen and do unto others as they wish done onto them" so to speak.

I agree to some extent with Cabal Investigations / Uncharitable ;-) . And I am of the view if it's online it's neither private or "owned" ever in it's fullest capacity. Copyright or not.

A word here and there and a few other like-meaning words can change the face of a paragraph but the point can still be the same. And with the many millions of people on this planet the odds are that some of us do think alike when it comes to certain subjects. Some subjects more than others and some people may only ever have one subject in common. The variables to this equation are infinite... thus why bother worrying too much? I can see the case for logos, brands etc, but text in general - nah.

& yeah, public whining isn't cool, even if in your whinge you intend to show your expertise to others. I've never met a whinging expert.
